Locate a visual that needs some redesign (according to the guidelines for designing clear visuals in Chapter 10)(textbook: Kolin’s Successful Writing at Work(Kolin, P. C. (2016). Successful Writing at Work. 11th Ed. Boston: Wadsworth.). Make sure to provide the visual, so the entire class can see it.Apply the visual guidelines for designing clear visuals discussed in Chapter 10 and analyze the visual for effectiveness:

• What is the visual meant to represent?
• What are its strengths?
• What are its weaknesses?
• How can visual be re-designed to be more effective?

Be specific and provide details to illustrate your points. Your post should be at least 450 words, written in Standard American English, and grammatically correct.

Unit 5 Assignment: Instructions

Writing instructions is a challenging task that requires thorough knowledge of your audience and the information they need to perform a task. To write effective instructions, you need to be able to get feedback from your audience about what works in the drafted instructions and what is confusing.

Choose one of the tasks in Exercise 5 on pages 515-516 of the textbook and write a set of instructions.

Make sure to include all the parts listed in the exercise (introduction, list of equipment and materials, numbered steps with necessary warnings, cautions, and notes; a troubleshooting guide; a conclusion). Also, make sure to include at least 2 visuals that follow the guidelines for effective visuals. If you use visuals from websites or other materials, make sure to credit them properly.

The set of instructions should follow the guidelines for document design and writing effective instructions. It should be clear, concise, and error-free.
